 | 10:26 am - Procrastination, photo and stuff
Hello!
I have a new photo under the cut!
( Post-apocalyptic yummy clothes-ness! )
It's by DearestGrudge, from LA and the jacket is by Mother Of London, who is amazing. I did my own hair and make-up and was rather pleased!
I also have the headline article for this month's Fetishistas! I was really excited as I've never made the main article before- it's about HMSlatex. Read it here: http://www.thefetishistas.com I'm writing about five articles at once right now- stuff about Hollywood Glamour, Feminism and GodsGirls coming soon...
Went to Torture Garden and made a new friend: he's called Marmalade and he was shedding his skin (the snake, not the guy!) I was a bit worried about him (loud music, lots of people) but he seemed perfectly happy. I'd love a snake, but I don't like the idea of having one pet that could eat the other (I also have a cat.)

Anyway, just thought I'd write a small update. :)
I also have my kidney scan on Friday and am taking part in NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month) so wish me luck!!

 | 02:19 am - What I got up to in France... (and medical stuff)
After America, I went straight to France to model for HMSlatex at the Bal Des Supplices in Lyon. Managed to get there without making a prat of myself, and brushing up on my French :) Shared a room with Helene Atsuko, who rocks and later became my partner in pain-au-chocolat crime (!)
We spent most of the afternoon looking for shops (unsuccessfully) and rehearsing, then did the show for the new Arabia range in the evening- Yummy pink dress. Was living in terror of a boob-related mishap but they behaved.

The girls (and organiser).

They gave out free candyfloss at the club!!! Apparently it's called Father's Beard in French (Babba Pappas).
We ended up leaving quite early (about 3am) to get some sleep before the Eurostar the next day. When Helene and I went for breakfast, we realised that it was *not* free with the room, as we had thought. So we stuffed ourselves to the point of bursting and committed food crime by packing ourselves "some snacks for the journey home". It was a rather large supply. *cough*
Anyway, we got given T-shirts which were very welcome as I'd been living out of a suitcase for a while and was *desperate* for a shower. Got funny looks on the train home. Realised T-shirt saying "fetish-tool" was worrying the people on the train, which had come from Disneyland. Was sleepy. Didn't care. The Eurostar is comfy. :o)
I'm home for a while now and got some good news. I've been fighting for a proper scan of my kidneys as they've been doing silly things for years and no-one knows why. (Seriously, I've been prescribed antibiotics to the extent where I've built up an immunity to some types and given more samples than I like to remember. I'm sure you wanted to know that.) Well, I FINALLY have an appointment next month. Yes It's an ultrasound, but no I'm not pregnant. (Amazing how many people thought I was after reading my ultrasound-related facebook status, lol!!!) Soooo not happening!
I treated myself:

 | 08:41 pm - So I ran away to Hollywood... (pic heavy)
*insert "The Great Escape" theme here*
Yes, I went to Los Angeles with a brief stop in Texas on the way. Within a few hours of the plane landing in Texas, I did a photoshoot with a lovely lady- "Heather Sterling" and here's a photo. I look a little less jet-lagged than I felt and I felt a little less confused than I look.

(More about Texas at a later date).
I then left for Los Angeles, met Tom at the airport and had several photoshoots (more about these later. One photo at the bottom, more to come). Had a fantastic time staying with Tom's aunt and her family (they were lovely) in their house in Malibu- which had lizards and hummingbirds in the garden (and a rattlesnake that I never saw, sadly).
( The long version ) We then made the five-hour trip to see some trees, a log and a rock. (aka Sequoia National Park).
It was hard to get my mind around the fact that everything around me was older than Jesus.

( The long version )
Then we went to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. Oh holy crap.

( The long version )</div>________________________________________________
It was a bit disconcerting arriving home in the middle of autumn but I liked it in a strange way. (It was sunny) One day of rest and then onto the Eurostar.
Here's a photo by Kook (from LA). Make-up by me.

Next entry: "What I got up to in France!"

 | 01:27 am - Justice
I've been thinking a lot at the moment about life before I turned eighteen. (Eighteen was a turning-point as I left home a week afterward and started doing the things I love now. (E.g. modelling and writing). Without going into too much depressing detail, I was bullied. Badly. (As were many of my friends- to the point where one died.) The *very least *of the bullying involved being called a ugly/worthless/a freak just about every day until I believed it. It has taken me a long time to get the point where I can look in the mirror and not be disgusted. I can also write without the piece turning into a huge angry scream at the people who made my life the seventh circle of hell. It's times like this when I feel that although the bullying was never "worth it", it does make me value success a lot more.
Recently, some exciting things happened but being the superstitious person I am, I've been trying to keep it all relatively quiet so I don't jinx them. As I still don't want to jinx them I'll just post this photo, which was taken by Matt Frederick. Amelia Ebanks did the make-up and made the dress out of a ripped-up bedsheet. Genius! :o)
See you in a month- I'm leaving the country tomorrow!!!

P.S. Yes, I know my sword and scales are broken. I'm being sad for the unjust things that still haven't been worked out yet. :o)

The Bad: - Tom's grandma died - One of my friends has died (www.thefetishistas.com) - I'm still waiting for some important emails and getting paranoid about them

 | 07:34 pm - The Time Has Come...
... to redesign my website- and I need some input!
I've taken down my old website as I'm in the process of designing a new one with a members section. It will still have a section for my writing and another for my modelling available to everyone, but the members section will have more photosets, a regularly updated blog and probably more behind-the-scenes photos.
INPUT NEEDED:
* If you were going to sign up to a members page, what would you like to see? * What else would you like to see in the public section? * A forum? * Videos? * Other?
*** No explicit requests please you dirty lot! My highest level is art-nude*** :o)

P.S. Here's a photo from my shoot with Matt Frederick- **inspired by a picture that I loooove of Steerpike in Gormenghast** (I'm sure in the TV advert he says "the time has come" but I can't find the clip anywhere!)

I have hayfever and feel like crap. I'm guessing it's the pollen from Darlington (I was there for a ponygirl shoot at the weekend!) Pics to come. Feeling too crap to do a long post so here are a couple of pics from my recent shoot with Gothic Image (hair and make-up by Sammm Agnew)

( Two more under here )
I went to a fetish wedding last weekend- it rocked. I have drafted a couple of short stories and my latest writing projects are doing ok. I think my mum is still quite sad about my grandma dying but I'm going to see her for her birthday this week so I hope she will have a good time and be distracted. Going to continue sneezing and sniffling while watching a film.

 | 11:39 pm - A Grand Day Out
I had a manic weekend so I spent today sitting by the river being nice and peaceful, watching a contortionist heron, some cute little ducklings, moorhens, water voles and a fluffy ginger cat that came for a cuddle and left fluffy ginger hairs on my trousers. Oh, and dragonflies- lots and lots of dragonflies. It was nice being there on a weekday- no screaming children to frighten the wildlife away.
Last weekend, I woke up to find a big bunch of roses next to me. :o) I then went to the Greenwich Observatory/Planetarium with Tom as it was our anniversary (three years of putting up with his snoring- has it really been that long???) Really interesting stuff- including telescopes, gold navigation thingies, black holes and a 25-minute show about the stars- in cool chairs. We then went to Las Iguanas for yummy Brazilian food and spicy patatas bravas. Then I discovered a new cocktail called a caipirinha! Ahem, and then we came home.
This weekend was a busy one- I got the train to London on Friday to have dinner with hurtmeso and catherineday at Giraffe in Spitalfields. Had edamame beans, mezze, potato wedges, mojito, pimms and other foody goodness though sadly they seem to have got rid of their giraffe-shaped cocktail stirrers. :o( We then met up with Tony Mitchell and went to the Bondage Festival at the Resistance gallery. Though what I saw of it looked good, the performances were quite low down and it was stiflingly hot so we didn't stay for very long (but long enough for hurtmeso to get her first taste of bondage!!)
Sophie not caring that I am about to grab her arse. Well, it was there!!! *note bits of rope hanging in the background* Pic taken by Catherine and borrowed from her livejournal. :o) ( ARSEGRAB!!! )
As I had a shoot early on Saturday, I was staying in a hostel. (Highly recommend "Journeys London Bridge"). It was quite clean and had a kitchen, showers, a common room with pool table, darts board and televisions, wi-fi access, a whole load of books and curtains around the bunk beds (which was a good thing as it was sooooo humid I slept naked and was terrified I'd fall out in my sleep and be lying naked on the floor in a room with 14 other girls! (I didn't, in case you were wondering).
Matt Frederick restored my faith in photographers (have been let down recently) and I can't wait to see the pictures... I'm in his photography book "Twisted Pixels"with two of our photos and some of my writing.
Stayed at my friend Laura's on Saturday night (don't get to see her nearly enough *sigh*) and ended up in Greenwich again on Sunday!
( Pics of food, pretty gold things and us! )
Just thought I'd update you. Pictures from my last few shoots coming soon!

P.S. Yes it is sad that Michael Jackson has died but playing Billie Jean on the radio all day long is wearing thin, *especially* as I hated that song in the first place!! However, as a wise soul on facebook pointed out, it will be worse when Cliff Richard dies- "Congratulations and "Auld Lang Syne" 367 times a day! *shudder* Current Mood: cheerful

 | 11:11 pm - TG fashion show, karate and other stuff
Eek. I didn’t realise it had been *that* long!!
*goes red* Ok, the last couple of months have been very busy karate-wise as I’m grading on Sunday. (Wish me luck). If I pass, then I may be training for my black belt by Christmas!!! Very exciting. So I have been putting shoots on hold as I’ve been training so much. However, I did make time to go to TG: Arrived on Friday night with Tom and had a wardrobe malfunction within two seconds of bouncy dancing (the red PVC crinoline I had made so lovingly came apart at the back) Photoshoot material only, I think. As we got there quite late we didn’t get to see many performances, but Suka Off were good (cool latex ripping skin effects!) and the Roxy Contin show ROCKED!!! There are pictures on the Fetishistas website (www.thefetishistas.com) I felt that if there had been more people, it would have been a great night but there were really very few people. It was good to see some friends I hardly ever see though. I left with Tom at about half three am so that we could get the night bus to Kings Cross and then the train to my mums house (about an hour away) for about five. Ahem… there was no night bus to Kings Cross. Arrived at my mums at half seven, got four hours sleep (Tom got seven as he slept through the postman’s incessant banging on the door) and then a cooked breakfast (thankyou mummy). Wanted to help but gave up after sleepily trying to slice bread with the blunt side of the knife. EPIC FAIL. Headed back to TG for 6pm as I was performing in Renee Masoomian’s medical fashion show! Loooooved my outfit (possibly one of my favourites I’ve modelled- ever). Piccies by Tony Mitchell, Marcus T and Josselin Guichard: Psycho-nurse: fear my sexy outfit... and my mind-control!

( More pictures under here! )Saw Combichrist in London the other week- had a really good time, and am off to the Strawberry Fair this weekend! Anyone else coming? I've never been before.
Other news: I'm in the current issue of Digital Camera magazine! Black and white photo by Mark Varley :oD I am also getting rid of my website for the time being. I want to re-do it , with better sections for writing and better quality pictures. I'm hoping it won't take too long *fingers crossed* Oh, and I'm not pregnant. A facebook quiz told me so. I'm also "not a potato", "Zoe from Firefly", "not Californian" and.......... "definitely a procrastinator". Like I needed a quiz to tell me that! :oP

 | 10:35 pm - Turn and face...
Change is in the air. I've been thinking about moving to London early next year. (These are not concrete plans- I'm only considering it.) I might even live part of the week in London and the rest here. Basically, I'm sick of always feeling on the periphery of what's going on and I worry that I'm losing contact with a lot of people who are important to me. I'll be in London for most of May though so it will hopefully give me a chance to catch up with everyone. Am really looking forward to the TG Ball! Who else is going?
The other big change is in my writing. I've spent most of my free time working on articles. I have already got a DeviantArt profile for my modelling (http://roswell-ivory.deviantart.com) and I have now set one up for my writing, which should stop a certain guy who likes political t-shirts and a pink-haired lady from nagging me about posting more writing! (JOKE!!) :oP here's the link: (http://roswell-ivory-writer.deviantart.com) please add me or have a quick look. Only constructive criticism please.
I have done an interview for Fixe magazine (as in they interviewed me instead of the other way around) which was unusual! I'm also in the middle of a very exciting project writing for a literary magazine. Won't say anything else as I don't want to jinx it, except that it was the last magazine to interview Hunter S Thompson (Fear And Loathing) before he died (!!)
Still doing a lot of photoshoots- here are three pictures from a photoshoot with Danny Bourne. I did my own make-up as the MUA had to cancel. Learned a lot about fashion posing as this was my first time shooting clothes with a mainly fashion photographer (and learned a lot about shoulder-ache in the third pic!) :D
The green dress is by HMSlatex and the black leggings are by Honour.

( The other two )
See ya,

P.S. *sniffle* I just watched the ending of a film about fishermen at sea. They all die. It was horrible :( Hoorah for Family Guy being on next!

 | 11:37 am - Phew!
Guess what... I have a job! It's just one day a week but it's in one of my favourite shops, and suddenly I'm getting a lot more modelling work too! I also have some writing projects in the pipeline. It feels like finally (after four months of working very hard), the nasty winter depression-thing has gone *touch wood* and I'm back on track. Yay!!!
Karate-wise, sadly I failed my last grading (passed 2/3 elements so I only have to retake the one I failed) but got asked to compete in the Nationals in September. I'm now training with the squad on Saturdays. The only competitions I've done are art/creativity based! *knees wobbling already*
I forgot to post the pictures from my shoot with Adam Robertson in February! I was on my way to my mums as we were going to my grandma's funeral, but despite it being a sad time, I was really happy with the way the pictures turned out. Here they are...

( Four more under here! )We also did some more abstracty-artsy-nudesy pictures which I will post later
I have a couple of shoots this week so more pics coming soon, and keep an eye out for my next few articles for www.thefetishistas.com

 | 05:18 pm - Holy macaroni!
Very odd start to the year. I don't think I've ever had so many great things and awful things happen at once!
Awful things- my grandma is not getting any better so everyone is morose. A friend's mum died the other day so his family is upset, I think my cat back home might be ill and I literally have no money (but a few paid jobs coming up hopefully).
Great things- I'm finally writing again following horrible writer's block and depression-thing (which seems to have lifted *touch wood*), I'm booking a LOT more shoots and am sorting my 2009 trip abroad out (more details later).
I'll do a big post later as I'm off out but here is my first half-naked picture of the year:
